Welcome to Turtle Net
v1.1.2
Turtle Net is a peer-to-peer chat application. It uses WebRTC to establish a peer-to-peer connection between devices meaning the data sent between devices doesn’t pass through a server only between clients thus is 100% private.
How Turtle Net works is you must give someone your ID which you can find under “Profile” after which you can chat with that person. You can only chat with one person at a time.
Some features of Turtle Net are that you can upload images from your device into chat and even YouTube videos. How you upload YouTube videos to chat is by right clicking on a video, select “Copy embed code”, paste it into the chat input field, and press “Post”. You can also upload files into chat which can be downloaded, however, really big files cannot be sent.
Your avatar, username, and ID will be saved automatically. If you open this page twice, you’ll get an error message saying your ID is taken. In that case, either close the duplicate page or save a new ID on the second page.
